CMST is part of the new Horizon Europe project PLEIADES
Today and yesterday we had the kick-off meeting of this new project.
PLEIADES ꟷ Advancing Aerospace Composites through Induction Welding & New Vitrimeric Formulations Enhanced by Integrated Photonic Sensors, Providing Data to Digital Supply Chain, SHM, Maintenance ꟷ brings together different disciplines and key technologies that will contribute to advancing composite aerostructures and promote the digital transformation in aviation.
Two CMST teams participate in a new cSBO project "Sensor fusion for smart wound monitoring"
Today we had the kickoff meeting of the new collaborative project "SURMOUNT" in which two CMST teams, together with project partners, will work towards smart wound dressings that can monitor and predict wound healing progression. CMST will develop miniature optical sensors and readout electronics to measure blood flow and will also develop technologies to integrate this sensor together with temperature, pH and moisture sensors in a smart dressing.
Successful development of an ultrathin flexible hermetic packaging technology
In the frame of Darpa’s HAPTIX development activities, research is performed to develop a system for a thought driven control of a bionic arm. Imec is taking part in these activities by its IMPRESS project, coordinated by the University of Florida.
