🎓 After +4 years of R&D work, I obtained my PhD in Photonics Engineering!
Last week Thursday, I publicly defended my work, titled "Broadband Chip-to-Fiber Coupling Using Polymer Waveguides: An Alignment-Tolerant Interface for Co-Packaged Optics".
A huge thanks to my promotors Geert Van Steenberge and Joris Van Campenhout for supporting and enabling this project. Many thanks as well to the jury members Jeroen Missinne , Jürgen Van Erps , Gunther Roelkens , Günay Yurtsever , Dieter Cuypers and chair Sabine Wittevrongel for their valuable feedback and fruitful discussions about the topic.
Additionally, a big thanks to my great colleagues at cmst-microsystems and imec as well as my family and friends for their support!
