Geert Van Doorselaer was born in Gent, in 1970.
In 1994, he graduated in electronic engineering at Ghent University.
He started his research in projects concerning driving and interfacing CdSe TFT Active Matrix Liquid Crystal Displays.
Nowadays, he is working on the use of 'conventional' CMOS for reflective AMLCD's,
also known as Microdisplays.
He was responsible for the peripheral electronics, interface and packaging
of the 1/4 VGA display.
He was also involved in the Mosarel ESPRIT project.
He has worked on the peripheral electronics, interface and packaging of the
TMDC XGA display.
His most recent work covered the peripheral electronics of the TMDC WXGA micro display.
