Assembled Mosarel cell. The chip itself measures 5x5 cm2 (2 x 2 inch)

Front projector setup

A projected image

This picture was taken from a rear projector setup. The whole cell is projected (2560x2048 pixels), but the image source is an SXGA graphics adaptor in a PC. The SXGA image iss quadrupled to generate the full resolution image.

Only one cell was used, and placed in the green path of the projector. The color split optics was altered so that red and green light passes through the cell (yielding a yellow appearance).
Detail of the projected image. The characters are 4 pixels (=60 um) wide and 5 (=75 um) pixels high.
